Why Choose Performance OSM in Frisco

Our providers have the experience and expertise to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and diseases. Local patients choose us because of convenience, education and quality of care.

Meet Our Team

Performance Orthopaedics is contracted with many insurance plans and will file the claim for you. All co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles must be paid at the time of service. For details about your specific benefits, refer to your plan’s benefit manual or your insurer’s website.

If you have an HMO policy, we will need to obtain a referral prior to your visit. You can call your primary care physician or give us a call at 214-705-6611 if you are not sure! We are happy to help.

Friday from 1pm to 4pm, appointments aren’t necessary. If you are a new patient, calling ahead of time may help speed up the registration process, but it’s not necessary!

Our walk-in clinic is staffed by highly trained experts in the field of orthopedics. They include our board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons as well as our certified physician assistants. Our walk-in clinic is run by our Certified Physician Assistants who always have access to an orthopedic surgeon on call for more serious injuries.

PA-Cs are specially trained healthcare providers who are able to function with physician oversight but do not need direct supervision. PA-Cs can immediately determine what injuries require further diagnostic care and treatment, such as MRI, CT, Splinting, Pain Medications, etc. If needed, our PA-Cs have direct access to an orthopedic surgeon on call for more serious injuries.

If you are treated at an urgent care or emergency room for an orthopedic injury, they will typically have you follow up with an orthopedic office visit as your next step. Visiting our office first saves you time and money!

While 99% of musculoskeletal injuries are appropriate for visits to our walk-in clinic, there are certain instances when the emergency room or urgent care provides a better choice. Click here to view a list of injuries/conditions our walk-in can see and what you will need to visit urgent care/emergency room for.

Wonderful Client Feedback

Dr. Diehl always listens and takes the most conservative approach for the injury rather than surgery first. He’s taken care of several of my sprains & falls. Highly recommend.

-Cynthia

I really like Dr. Maurer. He is so down-to-earth and honest. I’ve learned to trust his advice and guidance because he cares about his patients.

-Russ

Scheduling was quick, office staff was friendly and efficient and nurse and x-ray tech were friendly and thorough. Dr. Lessner was prompt and friendly. He made us feel comfortable and explained everything clearly and thoroughly.

-Clarissa

This has been one of the best medical care experiences I’ve had, from our initial consultation to post-op visits to physical therapy. Dr. Diehl and his team are a very caring, friendly, and professional group. I had a left knee injury (meniscus and ACL tears). Thank you!!

-Mark

Very impressed with Dr. Lessner. Very thorough and listened to me. He gave me multiple treatment options and involved me in the decision making. Highly recommend!

-Todd

Dr. Diehl was very kind and caring. I don’t think there is a person in this office who is not professional and personable. They go above and beyond for their patients.
